Businesses spend a lot of time and money trying to figure out what makes people under 35 tick. There is confusion around our shopping behavior, the choices we make and the things we care about. Traditional consumer panels are entirely for profit entities. They require users to manually report on their shopping habits which is time consuming and generally annoying. People record everything they are buying and then large corporations are able to see how shopping trends change over time. For instance, if everyone under 30 suddenly starts buying products with a purple label, they might try and make other products with a purple label. Panel Joy is frictionless. You simply connect your transaction history (aka things you are buying) to Panel Joy and we make sense of the rest. Your data is anonymized and totally secure. No one is going to reach out and try and sell you anything.
This leads us to our two major goals:
We started Panel Joy under the premise that Market Research can do more for the world. It shouldn't just be sock companies giving back! We will donate 5% of every sale we make from this data to charity. We are hoping that we can build a business and at the same time make the world a better place to live.
Younger people understand that our every move is being monitored and some company is making money off of this. Only we never get any of that money back. Panel Joy is aiming to pay people for their data. I know wild concept.
